If the doctor customarily collects specimens in the office, he/she simply sends those specimens to Quest Diagnostics. Based on 5,221 reviews. Quest Diagnostics practice illegal credit card billing, its just a fact. I had blood work done with them and paid a $25 co-pay during the visit. About a month later I received another bill for another $25 additional cost that I chose not to pay. About 3 months later, they charged my debit card without my authorization. I guess they kept in on file. The user expressly consents to such monitoring. Any use of this system must be in compliance with Quest Diagnostics policies and applicable laws. OptumHealth^(R) Behavioral Solutions

Our network provider for mental health and substance abuse benefits is OptumHealthSM Behavioral Solutions. The network has over 6,500 facilities and 225,100 professionals—specialists recognized for their clinical specialty and quality rating to ensure that each patient receives the most skilled clinician possible.

To receive the maximum benefit for some outpatient services, you must follow a treatment plan authorized by OptumHealthSM Behavioral Solutions. Call 877-468-1016 to locate in-network clinicians and to receive authorization to see a provider. An Intake Counselor will assess your needs and refer you to an appropriate hospital or practitioner. A Care Manager will evaluate the practitioner's clinical assessment and the recommended treatment plan, and will certify the appropriate care.

Precertify Your Admission:
You, your representative, your physician or your hospital must call us before you are admitted to the hospital. If you have an emergency admission, you must precertify within 2 days of the admission. Call us at 877-220-6252, unless the admission is related to a mental health or substance abuse condition. In that case, call 877-468-1016. We will reduce benefits if the hospital stay is not precertified.
You do not need to precertify when you are admitted to a hospital outside of the United States or when another group health insurance, such as Medicare Part A, is the primary payor for the hospital stay. If you exhaust your Medicare hospital benefits and do not want to use your Medicare lifetime reserve days, you need to precertify by calling 877-220-6252.

Virtual preventive care – combine wellness screenings with virtual care checkups from Catapult Health to improve employee health

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people did not complete needed routine screenings and chronic disease monitoring. In fact, hemoglobin A1c monitoring for those with type 2 diabetes fell by 66%, and newly identified cancer patients fell by 46%.^1,2 Combining routine biometric screenings with virtual care checkups enable employees to continue comprehensive routine and preventive care from home.

Quest Diagnostics^® collaborates with VirtualCheckup™

With VirtualCheckups from Catapult Health, individuals meet with a Nurse Practitioner to discuss their Personal Health Report based on Quest screening insights. Each VirtualCheckup includes:

Real-time video call with a Nurse Practitioner
Administration of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) to screen for depression and other mental health risks
SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) symptom and exposure screen
Discussion of family health history, needed screenings based on age and demographics, and medication review
No copay for the participant, and can be billed through claims for most health plans

Wellness screenings + virtual care: How it works

Participants schedule a biometric screening using one of the screening options detailed below. After receiving their results, individuals then schedule a VirtualCheckup to discuss insights gained from their screening with a Nurse Practitioner and be connected to the appropriate follow-up care available within the benefit plan.

With At-home self-collection for biometric screenings, participants:

Receive self-collection materials in the mail
Complete an easy fingerstick collection
Ship sample back to Quest for processing
Schedule a VirtualCheckup to receive a virtual preventive care consultation with a Nurse Practitioner

When completing a screening at a Patient Service Center (PSC), participants:

Schedule an appointment at one of Quest’s 2,250 nationwide PSCs
Visit the PSC for a venipuncture blood draw
Schedule a VirtualCheckup to receive a virtual preventive care consultation with a Nurse Practitioner

When completing a screening at an on-site event, participants:

Attend a work site event and complete either a fingerstick or venipuncture blood draw*
Complete a VirtualCheckup at the work site (for point of care testing) or schedule a VirtualCheckup to receive a virtual preventive care consultation with a Nurse Practitioner

What happens in a virtual care checkup?

Participants complete a private, virtual consultation with a Nurse Practitioner through Catapult Health’s secure, proprietary video platform. All sessions include a discussion about screening results, family health history, and a medication review. Each individual will receive a Personal Action Plan that can include referral into other employer-sponsored well-being and benefits programs.
